Mumbai, Maharashtra, November 8, 2011 /-- In a formal event held today, Dr Ajeenkya D Y Patiland Mr. Asif Bhamla unveiled the Trophy for the D Y Patil Annual Achiever's Awards. The event was graced by Mr. Shashi Tharoor and wife Sunanda Pushkar, Mr. Dilip Vengsarkar and Ms. Isha Kopikar.

About Dr Ajeenkya D Y Patil:
Dr Ajeenkya D Y Patil completed his MBA from Richmond College, after which he went on to do his specialization in marketing from the London School of Economics. He has served as the Chairman of the Central Board for Workers Education, Ministry of Labour and Government of India. He has also served as Chancellors Nominee to the University Of Mumbai, amongst many other important positions.
Dr Patil has won several awards, and has been felicitated on many occasions for his meritorious role in Education. His vision is to create world-class centers of learning that will give opportunities to all to study and learn. Under his leadership the group is now expanding nationwide and globally.
