KISS Achieves Outstanding Success in +2 Exams, Posts Cent Percent Result for 3rd Year in a Row

Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) has posted cent percent result for the 3rd year in a row in +2 Examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Orissa in Science, Commerce and Arts streams. Result of the examinations was declared today. More than 97 percent of students of KISS, the largest residential tribal institute of the country, were successful in these examinations with a large number of them passing in first class, according to sources in KISS.

It is encouraging that five students from primitive tribal groups like Koya, Saura, Parenga Paraja and Juang have passed in Science, Commerce and Arts streams. In what is a big morale boost for the students of this tribal institute, even those students who had fared poorly in Matric examinations have passed in first class. Students had appeared examinations in R.M.D. College centre at Patia.

It is a matter of pride that the result of KISS compares very favourably with the State average for Scheduled Tribes, which is merely 56% in the result declared today. It is a rare feat to educate and groom tribal students from remote areas of the State and enable them to achieve cent percent result every year, opined intellectuals.

Expressing satisfaction over the result, Dr. A. Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS said that it has been possible only due to blessings of Lord Jagannath. He congratulated teachers, staff, headmaster and Chief Executive Officer of KISS for their hard work and students for their concentration.
